Home sweet Home
Having just driven home from my parents in Kent in 5 hours - a record- I feel like l've left one home and arrived at another. In one l'm pampered and spoiled and not allowed to do very much at all and in the other it business as usual!
I've just returned from the Cathedral and the Christmas Carol Concert, my daughter is in the senior choir, it was lovely and now I feel Christmas has begun...
In a day or two I will have downloaded some pics I took with the mobile phone from the car as the skies were stunning over the A66 - Penrith to Scotch Corner. Hopefully one or two will be worth posting here.
Yes, I can just picture how close all of you are.
ReplyDeleteTwo homes? Yep, I can picture that.
Hope you said G'day to your Mum for me.
Welcome home :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are back safely. I feel like I have two homes too. My mum's and mine. I do housework and the gardening in both with 60 miles in-between!
ReplyDeleteHello, which Cathedral was it? You sound cheery today!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe my mobile was off when I was fretting that you had not arrived. Finally realised and switched on and there were three messages: Halfway:Nearly Home:Home.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got back in time for the concert. XXXX
Will look forward to them, FFF.
ReplyDeleteYou have done your duty and that long trip, now try and relax and enjoy Christmas. (listen to the Life Coach here!)
I like that bit about now you feel Christmas has begun. That's so true, isn't it? There's usually one thing or event or person that triggers that feeling within us. Still somewhat looking for mine, really, even with the trees and bears :-)
ReplyDeleteOh ... carols in the cathedral. What a memory! Nothing like it.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing those. I haven't been to Penrith for a long time. I always use the A1 when coming back home north.
ReplyDeleteCJ xx
It's nice feeling like you're home in more than one place. And even nicer being waited on!
ReplyDeleteI love the name of your blog. Although I am in my forties I could fit the fat and frumpy part.
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember that feeling and it was delicious...so glad that Christmas has finally started for you! Our children will do that for us...Merry merry!
ReplyDeleteSandi
