'A Roman Cumbrian Sky'

this is a piece of sky

the sky above Hadrians Wall

but ...

are you  thinking

that something

 is not quite right?

Well you would be right ...

This is a painted sky

which hangs over

 the Hadrians wall exhibit

in the Museum where I work!

  2. This is gorgeous! I sat on a piece of Hadrian's wall back in '97. I should check out the sky in that photo. Gotta get choosing something for SWF...

  3. I thought at first you'd masked off the sky and applied a Photoshop filter to it to get that effect. (Apparently this is quite a good painting!)

But be the sky faux or real, the photo is still smashing!

  13. Clever post. Thanks for sharing! A friend of mine posted a photo recently in another blog along the theme of "fake." Of course the flowers were obviously silk, but what she had done was shoot a reflection of the flowers. I love this painting. It is sooo realistic. Happy Skywatching!
