Moannie loses it!

As some of you have already noticed Moannie's blog has been removed!
But do not panic Cptn. Mannering! I am hopeful all will be restored in due time.
No doubt she will recount her debacle to you in her own inimitable fashion, but to summarise - she called me all clammy and distressed after having fiddled with the new layout options and found she wasn't able to upload an image. In her frustration she thought it would be a good idea to try Picassa and then it all went badly wrong. She deleted her all new Picassa account, her google id and seemingly her blog.

I have Google and Gatsby at Blogger looking into it. Worse scenario is she may have to start over, I see her blog is still cached so we can save some of her posts.

She misses you and wants you to know she will be back soon, one way or another!

  1. Oh poor Moannie. I would be beside myself so I know what she must be going through.
That is why I don't meddle with mine or change ANYTHING on it unless son is right by my side. He is always ribbing me about the state I get into over technical things needing to be changed, updated or rescued.
I really hope Moannie gets back soon. would be good if her old blog was rescued but looking forward to a new one if that isn't possible.
    Much love Maggie X

  3. Oh my! I just wrote you to see what had happened to her blog. I was finally getting around to answering comments from my last post, and I couldn't find her.

I know what it's like to get that clammy, panicky feeling, because when my Mac OS went into a kernel panic a few months back, I felt the same way. I thought I was going to throw up - all because of data stored on a magnetic piece of hardware. Life is really strange, isn't it?

    Peace - D

  5. So glad it is only a technical malfunction not a health one...and how are you feeling now?

  6. Oh gosh, I hope she can resurrect her blog and that her posts won't go spiralling into outer space. Tell her we all miss her and are looking forward to her return. :D

  8. Oh dear! Still, I think your mum deserves enormous brownie points for having a blog at all. I constantly feel that I have reached the limit of what I am prepared to learn in technojargon, and would be amazed if I was still trying new things in 15 years time. BTW, I also think you are SO LUCKY to have such an amazing mum. I know crap stuff has happened to you, but having a loving and supportive mum makes a huge difference.

  9. Uh oh.. Poor Moannie. I hope all works out for her wonderful blog. Please send her a supportive hug from me. And thanks for letting us know.

P.S. I just checked my Google Reader and I have all of her posts dating back to August 2008 there. Let me know if I can help in any way.

  11. Yes it must be in the air indeed! Everyone - including myself - is cleaning - throwing things out - screwing things up - becoming another person. Even you.

Just read the previous post and cheered! Finally! It sometimes seems to take forever to rediscover us. But in reality - it wasn't all that long ago....

Moannie too will come out of this with a new persona perhaps - a new look - a new view of life - all from trying to look different.

Me? I just hope I can get the kitchen floor washed today.

  13. Oh nooooo! That's every person's nightmare with a computer, that we'll click the wrong thing and have all disappear into the ether.

I hope it comes back from the mists soon!

  14. Oh no, poor Moannie!! My biggest nightmare!

It's still there in Google Reader, so there must be hope for recovering it, or at the very least, copying and pasting the posts.
